Putnam Park Facts
- Putnam Park is located at 41 Milbank Avenue on 13 acres of land. There are 13 buildings and 194 apartments, 98 in-door garages and 168 outdoor parking spaces. Apartments range in size from 3 1/2 to 8 1/2 rooms and are configured as ground floor, second floor, duplex and two-story townhouses.
- The complex of buildings was designed by Nathan A. Seiderman, an architect who later won an award for his concept of cluster building around courtyards and gardens. Construction of Putnam Park was completed in 1950.
- Dating back more than a century, the land upon which Putnam Park resides has been home to “Linwood”, the estate of William “Boss” Tweed, the Jeremiah Milbank family and the Henry Adams Ashforth family.
